In Feng Shui the Elephant is known to be an excellent Good Fortune symbol that represents power and prominence associated with the head of the family or company and is known to be the granter of wishes.  Placing your elephant facing your door will deter intruders. There are many different menaings for the Elephant, along similar lines. It depends on the way the trunk is displayed as to the meaning or power of this anilmal.
